Take A Deep Breath

This morning while putting the dishes in the dishwasher I was praying, or should I say begging.

In the midst of my mutterings, sweet and kind Holy Spirit whispered to me, “Take a deep breath Brenda. You take yourself way to serious. I want you to enjoy this day. Just talk to me, keep it simple and all will go well. I already know everything anyway, so relax and enjoy the One who never forsakes you or lets your dreams fall by the wayside. I am able and I love you.”

Well, I must say, “That settled that!”

Before I go on to the duties of my day, I just want to encourage you to keep it simple and talk to Him in your own heartfelt language without trying to think your prayers through before you say them.

I plan what I am going to say way to often, hoping to get the most benefit out of my words. A simple I love you to Him may be all it takes. After all He looks on the motives of the heart and sees beyond all we could ever say or do. Just open your heart wide today and He will fill it.

May you experience His touch today.

  1. Hi Brenda, I so do that, I plan the prayer and when I go pray it I forget what I planned. I will take the breath and take my prayers to the Lord. Great reminder..
