1st Person Prayer

For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! (Romans 8:15 Amplified)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified)

I am engraved in the palm of Father’s hand and He cares for me. He has numbered every hair on my head. I am the apple of His eye. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy but today He has come to give me abundant life. I receive this abundant life. I do not walk in fear for I do not have a spirit of fear. I have the spirit of a love, power and a calm—balanced—sound mind. I have an undisturbed composure and peace rules and reigns in my heart. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am created in the image of God and I hold the thoughts and intents of His heart. I am able to concentrate and I am focused in everything I do. I walk in the fruit of the Spirit, exhibiting self-control in every situation

I cast down every negative word spoken to me or about me. I take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and cast down every vain, unprofitable, accusing word. I embrace the truth of who You say I am and I am set free. The truth sets me free. All my thoughts are focused on the Lord. Each and every aspect of my thinking is focused on what is pure, upright and lovely.

I am a new creature in Christ. Old things have passed away and I am becoming new moment by moment. Perfect peace keeps my heart and mind in Christ Jesus for I am an overcomer through Him. As I ask for wisdom and it is given to me in abundance. I am an obedient servant of God with a humble repentant heart. Perfect peace rules and reigns in my heart and my mind is staid on Christ Jesus. Wisdom to overcome is my daily portion for I abide in the secret place of the Most High. I abide in Him and He abides in me.

As a created being made in the image of God—greatness is in me. I have the DNA of God and I call forth the greatness He has placed in me to the forefront of my life. I release myself from any negative self-assessments I have made in reference to ADD/ADHD. I celebrate who I am and who He has made me to be. I call to the forefront every diverse gift He has placed in me allowing the fullness of His multi-faceted beauty to be expressed in and on the earth through me.

God loves diversity and He loves me. Because He loves me, He formed me with great care in my mother’s womb, making me a visible demonstration of His heart. Therefore, I choose to accept the beauty and majesty of who I am and submit myself to the potter’s wheel to be formed by His tender loving hands. I hear His voice and do not follow another, therefore; I will not miss one step along the way. The uniqueness of who I am is unfolding before my very eyes. I decree these things and light and revelation are flooding the pathways of my heart and life as favor with God and man are my daily bread Amen.
