Bibles for His Captive Ones

Hi Brenda,

This past week I received 4 cases of Bibles for the prison I work at. I was totally out of Bibles and was able to bring in 144 Bibles for the kids. I went to my daughter’s school and gave Bibles to some of her teachers for their prayers, and so they can see what the teens are getting in the prisons. The teacher who helps the kids with learning difficulties was very grateful for this translation. The Easy Read Bible is easier for her to use with her kids.

The Easy Read Version of the Bible is a translation for those learning our language or anyone for that matter. It is not a paraphrase.

I was able to place more bibles in the prison where I work and give them to the teens there. I gave one to a kid and told him how to read it and what some of the books of the Bible mean. This boy was ripe for the harvest. He was so grateful to get the Bible and started to cry as he shared some of his heart with me. He asked me to pray for him and his young daughter. His name is Robert.

I told another Satanist kid about the Bibles. He was very young and stated that he burns crosses and Bibles. So I told some day he would not burn one and needs to know how to read the Bible so he can know the Lord Jesus who loves him. The boy said he laughed at the Passion movie. He listened carefully when I told him how to read the word. At that point I could tell he knew someone cared enough for him to spend time talking and listening to him not judging him but bringing Jesus to him. Pray for him too….a very young many on a very destructive path at the tender young age of 13.

The Chaplain from DuPage County Jail called requesting a Polish Bible. I found one finally and will be picking one up tomorrow. I was able to get him 4 New Testaments for the prisoners who can only read Polish. I also sent him 3 cases of Easy Read Bibles. The chaplain stated he really likes the Easy Read Version and the prisoners are really reading them…so praise Jesus for His Name to be lifted up for ALL men and woman to read His Word and understand It.
