There is some uproar in the body of Christ to day when anyone uses the term meditation, because it is linked in the minds of many people with new age, Buddhism or Hinduism. But the fact is Meditation, is NOT new age, they stole it from us. The Jew’s and Christians have been meditating for over 4,000 years.
But here in the solitude of this place, in this quiet, I seek, I find, here alone in the dark. Your presence comes to me in a moment, like a wind blowing across the sea, unseen, unknown, but felt. My heart feels you rising from within; the emotions I feel are primitive, raw, untamed, washing over me like an unstoppable tide from an ocean of your love. I begin to weep, tears flowing like a river down my cheeks, dripping to the floor like so many offerings. You live in me and yet you come to me like a phantom in the quiet. Your presence is tangible, as real as the air I breathe. I raise my hands in pure adoration as I feel your Spirit wrapping itself around me like a blanket of love, engulfing me, immersing, drenching me in you. I feel myself being baptized in pure love; I am undone, ruined by your touch.
No words are uttered, but none are needed; everything is understood. Heart to heart, Face to face, only the language of lovers is spoken here. As I drink of your presence I am intoxicated with the wine of your amazing love; my soul dances with ecstatic rapture to music only I can hear. It is music of heaven, emanating such sounds as the human soul can only imagine… sounds that have their origin in your throne room. In your heart my being radiates with your glory, as I experience your presence in such a powerful and real way, I think I might die. Nothing in this life could ever prepare me for such an encounter; every time is like the first time with you. Always fresh, always invigorating to my heart, always quenching that unquenchable thirst; you are a fountain and I drink.
Your living waters cause the desert in my heart to bloom once again with such a beauty that it causes you delight; this beauty within unfolds before your eyes as you pour out on me. This is Eden restored, your garden, your beauty, the work of your hands, for your eyes Lord, for your pleasure. My heart soars like an eagle, knowing what you see makes you smile. I am your delight; I am fulfilled, complete in this communion, in this dance of souls. For this I was born. This is my destiny, my call, my purpose, to give you pleasure and joy!
