We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. Jesus loves us so much that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart and say, that Jesus is Lord, and¬Ě you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
What is your response?
Let’s talk, the familiar, sweet voice of the Holy Spirit pleaded. Too much time had slipped away since our last journey together. However, His persistence never ceased to amaze me. Coming at just the right time is His trademark. With muscles tired and weary from life’s challenges, I wanted to decline. Yet, memories of our sweet times together compelled me to step aside from my busy schedule, sit at His feet, and experience His presence in a deeper, more intimate way.
And now here we are together in our desire to know Him as we are known and I would like to invite you to experience some of the journeys I have taken and encourage you to start your own path of adventure into the heart of God. Like you, I want to know Him and hear His voice in the secret places of my heart. With that in mind, won’t you join me?
Journals Of The Heart is just that: place to sit at His feet, escape from the busyness of life and go deeper in relationship with the Lover of your soul a place of encouragement, refreshing dialog, gentle teaching and warm conversation with our Father in heaven.
You may ask, “Do I qualify as one He loves?” And the answer is, “Yes!”For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 MKJV). If you live and breathe, you qualify.
Each and every piece of writing is based on scripture and aimed at meeting the needs of every believer, whether mature or new to the things of God. Many people have experienced negative things in their lives which have tarnished their view of God as a heavenly Father, thereby diminishing the view they hold of themselves. Divorce, single parenting, emotional and physical abuse, having an empty nest, betrayal, rejection, abandonment and death of loved ones are just some of life’s personal challenges.
These circumstances of life not only affect how we view ourselves, but how we view those around us in the current world in which we live. Most importantly, these circumstances of life affect how we see Jesus, the Lover of our souls.
For the one already confident in the goodness of God, Journals of the Heart is a place of encouraging affirmation, drawing you deeper into His presence thereby building your faith to a new level, enabling you to demonstrate a greater heart of love and mercy without judgment.
For the one struggling or just beginning, it is a place of healing, mercy, love, communication and extravagant grace, a place for all to learn to communicate with Him on a deeper level.
Journals of the Heart will endeavor to show by example and teach through devotional dialog, stories and poetry based on personal experiences, always having in mind the ultimate goal of opening up an entire new dimension of communication between us and our heavenly Father.
Come and join with me. Let’s journey together, and slip into His embrace a little deeper in spite of life and the things it throws at us, knocking at the doors of our heart with the consistent intent of drawing us away from Him.
Come go a little deeper with me into the heart of God where you are the only one on His mind.
Come and learn to hear and journal His thoughts for you, specific and tailored to fit your life.
Blessings In Him, Brenda
We believe in one God, Infinite Spirit, Creator, and sustainer of all things, who eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence but distinct in person and function.
We believe that the Father is the first person of the Trinity. He is the designer of creation, the author of redemption, and the sovereign of all history.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity. We believe that Jesus was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and He lives forever as perfect God and perfect Man.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is the giver of all life, active in the creating of the universe; He is the agent of inspiration and the new birth; He restrains sin and Satan, and he indwells and sanctifies all believers. It is through His baptizing the Believer that the power to change and impact our culture comes upon us.
We believe the Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments, though written by men, was supernaturally inspired by the Holy Spirit so that all its words are the true written revelation of God; it is, therefore, inerrant in the originals and authoritative in all matters.
We believe that all things were created by God. The universe was created in six historical days and is continually sustained by God. Human beings were created, not evolved, in the very image of God.
We believe that Adam, the first man, (willfully) disobeyed God, bringing sin and death into the world. As a result all persons are sinners from conception, and they are, therefore, subject to eternal punishment, under the just condemnation of a holy God.
We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitute sacrifice. He fulfilled all the demands of God by His obedient life, dies on a cross in payment for our sins, was buried, and on the third day He arose physically from the dead. He ascended into heaven where He now intercedes for all believers.
We believe that each person can be saved only through the Word of Jesus Christ, by repentance of sin and faith alone in Him as Savior.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all who are born again, conforming them to the likeness of Jesus Christ. Every believer is responsible to live in obedience to the Word of God in separation from sin.
We believe that the church is a local assembly of believers, under the discipline of the Word of God and the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It functions through the ministry of gifts given by the Holy Spirit to each believer.
We believe and observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s supper.
We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The unsaved will be judged according to their works and separated forever from God in hell. The saved will live forever in Heaven in fellowship with God.
